The Challenge
Do you enjoy hunting? Do you want to enhance your skills and learn more about hunting methods and game species with hunter your own age? Come join us at the Maryland Youth Hunter Education Challenge. Participants are scored and ranked in all YHEC events, however, the programs's competitive edge is diminished as the real "challenge" focuses on personal improvement. So come join us at the Maryland Youth Hunter Education Challenge.

Eligibility
The YHEC is a program exclusively for hunter education course graduates up to 18 years of age. The program provides them with a unique opportunity to test their skills at a variety of hunting conditions. This training ensures the future of the American hunting tradition as a safe, viable recreational activity the entire family can enjoy.

Activities
The Maryland Youth Hunter Education Challenge consists of eight activities:
Rifle, Archery, Shotgun, Muzzleloading, Hunter Responsibility, Orienteering, Hunter Safety Trail and Wildlife Identification. Each activity is designed to simulate field or hunting situations.
